City of Aransas Pass Celebrates America's 250th Anniversary with Stars & Stripes Festival

ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS (News Release) - The City of Aransas Pass brought the community together to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States during its annual Stars & Stripes Festival on Saturday, July 4, at Conn Brown Harbor. The free, family-friendly event welcomed residents and visitors for an evening filled with patriotic spirit, entertainment, and one of the area's most anticipated fireworks displays.

Families enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the evening, including a bounce house, face painting, rock climbing, and a selection of local food vendors. Mayor Jason Knight and Councilman Doug Goyer added to the festivities by taking turns in the popular dunk tank, creating memorable moments for attendees of all ages.

The celebration concluded with a spectacular fireworks display that began promptly at 9:00 p.m. Guests enjoyed the synchronized musical soundtrack broadcast live on 89.7 FM, allowing spectators throughout the community to experience the show whether gathered at Conn Brown Harbor or watching from surrounding areas.

"We're excited to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday with the community. It's not every day you get to celebrate 250 years, and we hope everyone comes out to enjoy a fun evening with family, friends, and a great fireworks show," said Malik Jones, Director of Community Enrichment for the City of Aransas Pass.

Mayor Jason Knight expressed his appreciation for the community's support and participation.

"I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the community for coming out to Conn Brown Harbor and celebrating the 250th anniversary of our independence. It was a fun-filled event with an amazing fireworks display to top off the night. It is always a humbling experience to see our community come together in celebration for a memorable time for us all," Knight said.
