Texas Department of Public Safety

CENTRAL TEXAS (News Release) - The Texas Department of Public Safety’s Central Texas Region, in coordination with local, state and federal law enforcement partners, arrested 11 individuals during a three-day human trafficking operation conducted in Bell County last week.

According to authorities, the operation targeted individuals attempting to solicit sex online. Investigators said the suspects believed they were communicating with minors, but were instead interacting with undercover law enforcement officers.

Officials stated the operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking, online exploitation and crimes involving children.

The Texas Department of Public Safety encourages anyone who may be a victim of human trafficking, or anyone with information regarding suspected trafficking activity in their community, to contact local law enforcement authorities.
