Car Fire in Bishop

BISHOP (News Release) On Friday, December 8, 2023, around 7:46 pm, a vehicle caught fire on Business 77 near the Nueces and Kleberg County Line.
Assisting on the scene were Nueces County Precinct 3 deputies, Bishop Police Department, Nueces Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) and Nueces County Emergency Service District 3 (ESD 3), and Kleberg County Fire and Rescue.

The occupants of the vehicle were able to exit before it was fully engulfed in flames. ESD 3 was able to extinguish the fire with no injuries to fire personnel.
Texas DPS is investigating the cause of the incident.
