Burglary of a Building

Alice Police Department

ALICE, TEXAS (News Release) - During a routine patrol early this morning at the Buck Horn Mini Storage, Alice Police Sgt. Maritza Perez observed a Dodge vehicle parked inside the premises. Upon approaching the vehicle, Sgt. Perez made contact with the driver, who identified himself as Fidencio Gonzalez. When questioned about his presence at the storage facility, Gonzalez claimed he was renting a unit and returning items.

Further investigation revealed burglary tools, including a crowbar, bolt cutters, and other implements, inside the vehicle. Subsequent checks of the facility uncovered that two storage units had been forcibly entered.

Notably, footprints found within the burglarized units were consistent with the tread pattern of the tennis shoes worn by Gonzalez at the time. Based on this evidence, Gonzalez was taken into custody and formally charged with two counts of Burglary of a Building.
