Burglary at Oliver’s Jewelry

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - At 3:49 a, on Friday, October 18, 2024, officers from Kingsville Police Department (KPD) were dispatched to Oliver’s Jewelry in downtown Kingsville following an alarm alert. Upon arrival, within one minute of dispatch, officers discovered that the front glass door had been shattered.

A search of the store and surrounding area yielded no immediate suspects. However, store employees were able to retrieve video footage showing a male suspect, wearing a mask, forcibly kicking in the front door. After entering the store, the individual used a small trash can to collect jewelry before leaving through the front door.

Some evidence was recovered several blocks from the scene, but the burglar successfully fled with jewelry valued at several thousand dollars.

This incident is currently under investigation, and KPD is asking for the public’s assistance.
