BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - The Bishop Police Department, in coordination with multiple partner agencies including the Kingsville Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, Brooks County Sheriff’s Office, the United States Marshals Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, recently executed a joint law enforcement operation in the 900 block of W. 1st Street.

As part of this operation, one individual identified as Alex Alvarado was arrested on a federal charge related to Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

At this time, Bishop Police Departments will not release any additional names, details, or investigative findings. This is a federally led, ongoing criminal investigation, and premature disclosure of certain information could jeopardize the integrity of the case, compromise officer safety, or alert individuals who may still be under investigation.

Any temporary detentions that occurred during the operation were conducted lawfully and in accordance with investigative protocols. No further information regarding those individuals will be released unless charges are formally filed and cleared for public disclosure.
