BISHOP TX - (News Release) This weekend, February 12/13, 2022 Nueces County Precinct 3 Constable Jimmy Rivera with assistance from the Bishop Consolidated School District hosted an (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) ALERRT training at the Bishop High School. ALERRT is a grant funded program offered by Texas State University to prepare first responders In the event of an active attack. Students in attendance ranged from employees from PCT 3, Bishop PD, PCT 5, ESD 3, and ESD 6. The training brought real world scenarios for first responders to engage and respond to active shooter situations utilizing multiple departments who would respond when and if an actual situation arose.
