71 Year-Old Women Charged with Manslaughter

UPDATE: The individual detained was identified as Muriel Stewart (71). After interviewing, Stewart was arrested and transported to the City Detention Center for booking. She was charged with manslaughter.

ORIGINAL: On September 15, 2026, at 10:41 pm Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 3500 block of Tiger Ln. in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a deceased male. An individual was detained on scene.

Robbery Homicide Detectives were called out to assist. The individual detained was transported to the main police station for interviewing.
