61-year-old Cleto Vasquez III Extradited Back to Texas for Murder Trail

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (News Release) - The Robstown Police Department with assistance from the United States Marshals Offices in Corpus Christi, Laredo, and Houston was able to extradite 61-year-old Cleto Vasquez III from Mexico back to the United States for the 2015 murder of Daniel Torres.

Vasquez is currently being held in Webb County, Texas, and will be transferred to Nueces County, where he will remain in custody until his trial.

In 2023, 61-year-old Cleto Vasquez III was arrested in Nuevo Leon Mexico for the 2015 Murder of 37-year-old Daniel Torres which occurred on the 900 block of Indiana Street in Robstown.

Vasquez had been on the run since July 4, 2015, after several men and Torres were involved in an altercation in the back yard of a residence that led to Vasquez chasing and running Torres down with his Pick-up truck and then proceeded to stab and kill him.
