Get ready for an evening of great music-making by the Del Mar College Wind Ensemble and the Classical Guitar Ensemble as they collaborate to present their first concert this fall! Join the two ensembles on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Richardson Performance Hall on the Heritage Campus. Conducted by Dr. Abel Ramirez, DMC Professor of Music, and guest conductor Ryan Sanders, the Wind Ensemble will perform band music by Shostakovich, Chovi, Arnold, Whitacre, Prokofiev and others. The concert will begin with a performance by the Classical Guitar Ensemble conducted by DMC Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Jay Kacherski with the performance featuring traditional folk music from Brazil, along with an original work from the Hawaiian composer Darin Au. The concert is free and open to the public.
