Texas A&M University-Kingsville Esports presents Spring Showdown and Gaming Expo. The expo is the largest collegiate run esports event in the nation and features a $3,000 prize pool. The Spring Showdown Main game will be Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, but will also feature Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Fighter 6, NCAA26. There will also be tabletop games that include Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons as well as vendor tables.
Opening ceremonies on Saturday will include a welcome from TAMUK President Dr. Robert Vela, followed by a merit scholarship signing.
