Join Steinway Artist Caroline Oltmanns for an Evening of Piano Music

  • Wolfe Recital Hall 101 Baldwin Boulevard Corpus Christi, TX, 78404 United States (map)

Del Mar College’s Music Department and the Cultural Programs Committee present Steinway artist Caroline Oltmanns for an evening of piano music ranging from early Baroque all the way to the current decade beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Wolfe Recital Hall on the Heritage Campus.

Highlights of Oltmanns’ program include Beethoven’s beloved Waldstein Sonata as well as a new work by James Wilding called Summer Waves, which he wrote for Oltmanns’ performances aboard the iconic ocean liner Queen Mary as part of her artist residency on the ship’s Atlantic crossing.

The program also features two sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, along with Debussy’s virtuosic prelude What the West Wind saw. All pieces will be introduced by the artist for an in-depth and inspiring listening experience. The concert performance is free.
