Public Works Job Fair

The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will host a job fair on Friday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Gymnasium at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway.

The department has many permanent positions available. Prospective employees must meet certain qualifications. Attendees should be prepared for on-the-spot interviews for most positions.

Positions include:

  • Asphalt Paving Team

  • Channel Maintenance

  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic

  • Survey Technician

  • Operator (Requires CDL)

  • Flood Control Management

  • Road Construction

Job seekers must provide:

  • Picture Identification (Valid Driver’s License)

  • Proof of education (High School Diploma or G.E.D.)

  • Social Security card or work card

  • Résumé (Optional)

Applicants must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test.
