Information Session for Del Mar College’s Tuition Waiver Program, “Freedom to Dream 2.0,” for In-district Residents for 2026-2027 Academic Year
Don’t let tuition stand between you and your dreams! The success of Del Mar College’s innovative initiative, the Freedom to Dream Tuition Waiver Program, for eligible “in-district” residents has moved well over 1.700 new Vikings toward fulfilling their dreams this academic year. DMC will launch in fall 2026 the next phase of the program, Freedom to Dream 2.0, with a more refined approach to set students on the right path, including multiple entry points based on college readiness––whether that’s jumping into a degree program, building fundamental skills through college prep courses or gaining experience with workforce training––along with the guidance from success coaches throughout their college experience. If you live in the college’s taxing district and meet other eligibility criteria (find out more), mark your calendar for the last Freedom to Dream 2.0 Information Sessions scheduled at 5::30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Windward Campus to learn more about the program, apply and access other Student Services to begin your journey this fall. The application process for Freedom to Dream 2.0 is already underway with an April 30 deadline. Fall 2026 classes begin Aug. 24.
