According to the Texas Tribune, Governor Greg Abbot announced to lawmakers that Texas students will be returning to public schools in person this fall.

“When students return, school districts will not be required to mandate students wear masks or test them for COVID-19 symptoms, said Frank Ward, a spokesperson for the Texas Education Agency.”

The Texas Education Agency is expected to release additional information for school districts next Tuesday.
