U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Del Rio Port of Entry encountered a man wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for a sex-related offense against a child.

Telephone scammers are targeting residents nationwide to gain personal information that would bypass financial security protocols.

The shipment lacked the proper documentation for exporting the commodity within the commercial trailer.

“The volume of this seizure is substantial,” said CBP El Paso Director of Field Operations Hector Mancha.

“This large cocaine seizure in the cargo environment reflects the reality of the drug threat our frontline officers face every day,” said Port Director Pete Beattie.

Based on information from NCIC, CBP officers have made previous arrests of individuals wanted for homicide, escape, money laundering, robbery, narcotics distribution, sexual child abuse, fraud, larceny, and military desertion.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations officers at Hidalgo Port of Entry seized more than $4,000,000 in narcotics in a single enforcement action.

The fugitive apprehension occurred on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge.

CBP officers used biometric verification and discovered that he was the subject of an outstanding felony arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The narcotics had an estimated street value of $17,431,726.

Law enforcement arrested an individual wanted for murder as part of a group of 77 smuggled illegal migrants discovered in two stash houses.

The seizure occurred on Sept. 26 at the Pharr International Bridge when a CBP officer referred a 2013 Ford for secondary inspection.

Homeland Security Investigations special agents arrested the driver and initiated a criminal investigation.

The program is designed to honor and promote academic excellence throughout the area high schools in Laredo.

The narcotics had an estimated street value of $730,012.
