Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Fire and Emergency Services

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Fire and Emergency Services had the honor of hosting part of "Pilot-for-a-Day" for Zavian and his amazing crew - his two younger brothers, Zayden and Zairyn, and younger sister, Zayla.

The crew got to experience life as firefighters - touring the fire station, operating the fire hose, and riding in the trucks and are now honorary members of the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Fire and Emergency Services.

The "Pilot-for-a-Day" program is to benefit children and their families in the local community who have catastrophic illnesses. It is not directed at any one illness of disease, and not restricted to children with "terminal" illnesses.

For many children with catastrophic, but not "terminal" illnesses, the Pilot for a Day Program can be a significant part of their recovery.
