Warming Center Will Open at Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – The City of Corpus Christi is collaborating with Nueces County and the City of Robstown to open an overnight warming center at the Richard M. Borchard (RMB) Fairgrounds in Robstown. The warming center will open on Thursday, February 3, at 8:00 p.m. and remain open through 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5. The RMB Fairgrounds is located at 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard, Robstown, TX 78380.

The warming center is available to residents of Corpus Christi, Robstown, Nueces County, and surrounding communities.

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority will offer free rides to and from the warming center during available hours. For more information, go to https://www.ccrta.org/rider-alert/febwarmingcenters.

Those arriving at the warming center will need to register at Exhibit Hall A to receive meal tickets and sleeping accommodations. Family pets are allowed, but owners must provide their food.

The center will be staffed around the clock, and Police, Fire, and EMS will also be on site.
