Video - Power Outages in Kingsville
KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - Last night at around 10:14 pm, residents near Doddridge and 8th Street lost power due to electrical line sparking.
The Corpus Christi National Weather Service issued a freeze warning with temperatures dropping to the low 20’s last night. The freeze may have been the reason for the electrical spark.
According to electricrate.com, extreme weather such as ice storms that “produce more than an inch of ice, can wreck electrical equipment, leading to widespread outages that sometimes last for days.”
AEP outage map showed 6 homes lost power due to the electrical spark.
