Video Circulating Depicts Assault in the 300 Block of IH 37 Access Road

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - The Corpus Christi Police Department was made aware of a video circulating social media depicting an assault in the 300 block of IH 37 Access Rd that occurred on May 23, 2026. The victim did not come forward at that time to report the incident.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division investigated the incident and were able to identify the female victim and the suspect, Kelly Castillo (21). A warrant was issued for Kelly for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. CCPD’s Gang Unit took Kelly into custody yesterday, June 17, 2026, without issue.
