Vehicle Recovered from Port Aransas Ship Channel

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - The Corpus Christi Police Department Dive Team assisted with the recovery of a vehicle that entered the Port Aransas ship channel on Wednesday.

Divers worked for several hours in extremely challenging conditions, including limited underwater visibility, before successfully locating the submerged vehicle in approximately 35 to 40 feet of water.

The recovery operation involved multiple agencies working together to safely recover the vehicle. Officials credited the successful outcome to the coordination and teamwork of all first responders involved.

Authorities said incidents like this underscore the importance of strong interagency partnerships and the commitment of emergency personnel serving coastal communities.

No additional information about the vehicle or whether anyone was inside it was immediately released. The incident remains under investigation.
