Vehicle Fire Extinguished on US 77 Entrance Ramp

DRISCOLL, TEXAS (News Release) - A vehicle fire on a southbound entrance ramp to U.S. Highway 77 prompted a multi-agency response Monday afternoon, August 31, 2026.

According to Constable Jimmy Rivera, Precinct 3, the Nueces County Constables Office–Precinct 3, Nueces County Sheriff’s Office, ESD 3 and ESD 6 responded to the vehicle fire on the southbound entrance ramp at U.S. Highway 77 and FM 665.

Traffic control was quickly established while emergency crews worked at the scene. Firefighters with ESD 3 and ESD 6 were able to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
