CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) USS Lexington Museum remembers ABH3 Timmy L. Garroutte, ABH3 Burnett Kilgore, AN Lisa Mayo, ENS Steven Pontell, and Civilian Byron Courvell.

Today, Oct 29th, the USS Lexington Museum honors the lives lost on October 29, 1989 due to a training accident on the flight deck.

On October 29, 1989 at approximately 1530, while conducting carrier qualifications a T-2 Buckeye impacted the island structure causing a catastrophic fire on the flight deck, resulting in the deaths of five personnel.
