USS KINGSVILLE Honors Those Lost on September 11, 2001

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - The USS KINGSVILLE joined Americans across the nation Friday in solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

As the nation marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the crew of USS KINGSVILLE honored the victims, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were forever changed by the tragedy.

The ship also recognized the generations of service members who answered the nation's call in the years following the attacks.

“Twenty-five years later, their courage and sacrifice remain etched into the fabric of our Nation,” USS KINGSVILLE stated in its remembrance message.

The crew emphasized that the commitment demonstrated on September 11 continues to guide today's Sailors as they carry out their responsibilities of service, duty and defense of the freedoms held by Americans.

The anniversary also serves as a reminder of the unity and resilience demonstrated by Americans in the aftermath of one of the nation's darkest days.

“We remember September 11, 2001. We honor the fallen. We will never forget,” the USS KINGSVILLE said.
