Update on Inner Harbor Water Treatment

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) – Corpus Christi City Council will receive a presentation on updates on the Inner Harbor Water Treatment Campus, the City’s seawater desalination initiative.

Brett Van Hazel, Program Management Director for the Inner Harbor Water Treatment Campus, will provide a project procurement recap, a current project status and timeline update, information on progressive design-build contract procurement, and a description of future milestones leading to the guaranteed maximum price vote later this year.

Currently under development are:

·        The Basis of Design Report, which includes technical and operational needs that will inform the design process

·        Amendment to begin Phase 1B, which involves the initiation of the design process

·        The purchase of long lead time materials, such as generators
