Unidentified Body Found by Corpus Christi Fire Department

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On August 6, 2025, at 8:30 am, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to 5100 Hull Dr. in reference to a Missing Person.

When Officers arrived, Officers learned that a 63-year-old male went kayaking on August 5, 2025, around 6 pm and had not returned. Multiple agencies responded to assist due to the low water levels in the area.

The US Coast Guard located a kayak, but it was later determined that it was unrelated. The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Drone Unit located a second kayak. Around 12:00 pm, a body was located by the Corpus Christi Fire Department. The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Search and Recovery Dive Team was dispatched to the location to recover the body.

At this time, there is no foul play suspected.  The investigation is being handled by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
