Two Arrested During Early Morning Raid

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - CCPD Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division Detectives concluded a month’s long investigation into drug dealing on the city’s southside early Thursday morning, serving a search warrant at a residence on the 4800 block of H. Boyd Hall Street. During the search, investigators found and seized over thirty-three ounces of THC liquid and approximately seven ounces of psilocybin mushrooms. In addition, Detectives seized over $12,000 in cash, seven semi-automatic handguns, one 12-gauge magazine-fed shotgun, one 5.56mm AR-type pistol, and one 7.62mm semi-auto rifle.

Due to the existence of multiple firearms in the residence, CCPD SWAT was called upon to make entry and secure the home prior to the search. As a result of the search, NVID Detectives arrested Nicolas Medrano, and Gabriel Medrano. Both were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are possible.
