Traffic Stop Resulted in Finding $591,110 in Undeclared U.S. Currency

BROOKS COUNTY (News Release) - Yesterday, Kleberg County Attorney’s Task Force Agents conducted criminal interdiction operations in Brooks County. A traffic stop was conducted on Highway 281 on a vehicle occupied by three subjects. During the course of the traffic stop a search was conducted which resulted in the discovery of undeclared United States currency.

It is believed the currency was a result of profit gained through illegal means.

A count of the currency totaled $591,110.

All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Brooks County Jail.
