Traffic Stop Leads to Driver's Arrest

 

Kleberg County Attorney’s Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force

KLEBERG COUNTY, TEXAS - (News Release) On Oct. 4th, A Special Agent with the Task Force conducted a traffic stop northbound on Highway 77 on a Truck tractor semi-trailer (TTST) for a traffic violation. While speaking with the TTST driver, the Agent observed he was overly nervous. Based on the driver’s story, the Task Force Agent believed he might be involved in criminal activity. While searching the TTST, five undocumented immigrants were located hidden within the cab. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, and the five undocumented immigrants were turned over to Border Patrol. The Task Force would like to thank the Texas Department of Public Safety, Border Patrol RGV Sector, and the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this case.
