Nueces County Constables, Precinct 5

ROBSTOWN - (News Release) On March 31st, a constable Sergeant with Constable Precinct Five attempted a traffic stop with this vehicle in the City of Robstown. The vehicle then fled and evaded which initiated a vehicle pursuit. After a few minutes of fleeing and evading deputies, the occupants and the female driver bailed out in the area of Figueroa and Upriver Rd near the river. Approximately ten undocumented males fled on foot into the brush. Units with Oscar Mendoza’s Precinct Five office pursued the subjects on foot into the brush. Minutes later, four of the ten males were located near the river hiding and were apprehended. U.S Border agents along with C.C Police drone unit, Precinct Three and U.S Coast Guard helicopter arrived and assisted with the search. The search was called off after an hour when no others were located. The males apprehended are from Guatemala and South America. Team work between agencies continues to prove vital in this continuous efforts to apprehend these individuals who choose to continue to enter our country illegally. We will continue to assist U.S agents with these efforts. We want to thank C.C P.D drone unit and Coast Guard helicopter, U.S Border Patrol, Precinct Three and all others who assisted with this search.
