Texas DPS Investigating Fatal Crash

ORANGE GROVE, TEXAS (News Release) - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian fatal crash that occurred, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., on State Highway 359 near 3211 in Orange Grove- Jim Wells County.
A preliminary investigation revealed a female pedestrian was traveling southbound on SH 359, walking in and out of traffic. An unknown vehicle traveling southbound struck the 25-year-old female. The vehicle left the scene without stopping or rendering aid to the female pedestrian.
The female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene. DPS Troopers are further investigating this hit-and-run fatal crash.
