Military veterans make up a significant pool of AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, with nearly 15,000 veterans continuing their service to the country nationwide.
After successfully completing one year of service, AmeriCorps members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award toward tuition at eligible schools or at specific GI Bill-approved educational programs for veterans or student loan repayment.
He will spearhead communications and marketing efforts to build bridges, activate the national service community and increase recruitment applications to help support local, state and national organizations.

These programs plan to recruit at least 26,000 volunteers to provide high-impact tutoring, mentoring and wraparound support for academic, mental and overall student well-being.

AmeriCorps awarded 13 federally recognized American Indian and Alaskan Native Tribes more than $4.2 million in AmeriCorps State and National federal funding.
