CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On November 29, 2024, at about 3:35 am officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of South Port Avenue in reference to a shooting. Multiple officers arrived on scene and located a male victim along with a crime scene.

The 21-year-old male victim had a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital by medics. The injuries were non-life threatening.

Officers were able to contact witnesses who stated a disturbance broke out between two parties who knew each other. As one vehicle left someone from in the vehicle shot at the other group of people.

Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and impound it. Officers are still working to determine the identity of the shooter. There were no arrests made at the time.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
