American Red Cross Coastal Bend Chapter
ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (News Release) - On Saturday, April 12 Red Cross volunteers from the Coastal Bend, South Texas Chapters and external partners made 34 homes safer from home fire fatalities, by installing 70 smoke detectors. The event was a celebration of community resilience, with volunteers from the Robstown Fire Department and Robstown City utility services joining Red Cross volunteers and staff to make homes safer through our Home Fire Campaign.
The Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies through the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Every second counts during a home fire as you have just two minutes to escape safely.
