Smuggling of Persons Found After Minor Traffic Violations

NUECES COUNTY (News Release) - On Sunday, June 12 at approximately 1:50 pm, a Nueces County Constable Precinct 3 Deputy assigned to the Nueces County District Attorney's Criminal Interdiction Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford F-150 towing a Sea Doo boat for a minor traffic violation at Hwy 77 and Fm 3354.

The driver consented to a search of the vehicles. Upon searching the boat's storage compartments, three undocumented immigrants were located.

The immigrants were from Guatemala and Mexico. The driver was arrested for smuggling of persons.
