SINTON, TEXAS (News Release) - At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, the Sinton Fire Department was dispatched to a reported brush fire just east of Sinton.

Upon arrival, crews found a fence, trash, and surrounding brush fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, which posed a potential threat to nearby structures due to dry conditions and the fire’s rapid spread.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Officials also reminded the public that outdoor burning should not take place within one hour of sunset, as dry vegetation and shifting conditions can quickly lead to dangerous situations.
