ROCKPORT, TEXAS - (News Release) On Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 9:15 pm, Rockport Police Department (RPD) officers responded to a call of shots fired at a residence in the 800 block of N Live Oak Street.

Upon arrival, officers located blood inside the residence, but no victims or offenders were present. After approximately 30 minutes, a 42-year-old male was located in a nearby yard with several injuries from an alleged assault that occurred inside the residence Officers initially responded to.

The victim was transported by Allegiance EMS for medical care.

After the victim was transported, Detectives located evidence of a firearm being discharged inside the residence. RPD Detectives are in the process of interviewing known involved parties and processing the evidence collected at the scene of the assault.

Nicole Maxwell, 46, of Rockport has been arrested on unrelated charges.
