KINGSVILLE (News Release) - The Lion Cross Country runners competed in their 1st race of the season this past Saturday, August 19, 2023.
The Varsity Girls came in second place as a team that consisted of Aubreigh Harvey (2nd) Mikyela Munoz (5th), Molly Castillo (17th), Ninel Castillo (20th), Adriana Calderon (25th).
Running for JV Girls this week was Trinity Silguero (4th).
The Varsity Boys also took second place as a team. The boys teams consisted of Adolario Aguilar (7th), Seth Lozano (8th), Sabastian Alvarez (9th), Joshua Vera (11th), Tyler Garcia (31st), and Jayden Cantu (37th).
Running for JV Boys were Jacob Mireles (2nd), Caleb Salyers (8th), Eli Mireles (17th), and Matthew Garza (18th).
8th Grade Girls: Adrianna Saenz (1st) and Nathania Fernandez (2nd).
8th Grade Boys Jamicah Garza (4th), Ryan Garcia (5th), Raul Macias (6th), Nathan Carpentier (7th).
7th Grade girls Team Champions with all girls in the Top 10. Cami Recio (3rd), Sofia Dall (4th), Kalo Mendietta (5th), Harriet Purdy (6th), Vivian Hans (7th), Leann Garza (8th).
7th Grade boys Joaquin Martinez (3rd) and Derek Guerra (4th).
