Bishop PD Conducts School Safety Training for All Bishop CISD Staff

Bishop - (News Release) Over the summer break, the Bishop Police Department worked in close partnership with Bishop C.I.S.D administrators and staff to provide additional school safety resources, recommendations and training, to help make our schools safer for everyone!

On Aug. 19th Bishop PD law enforcement instructors concluded the last campus training session at Bishop elementary school.

During this process Officers with the Bishop Police Department visited school campuses throughout the district, conducted physical security evaluations and provided “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events” (CRASE) training for all Bishop C.I.S.D administrators, teachers and auxiliary staff members.

In addition, Bishop Police Department personnel have worked in close coordination with the Bishop CISD Superintendent and staff, to review district policies and procedures, establish additional security protocols and to provide consultation and recommendations, when appropriate.
