GEORGE WEST, TEXAS (News Release) - The Lady Lions continued their impressive postseason run with a decisive two-game sweep George West Lady Longhorns.

Santa Gertrudis Academy, ranked No. 2 in UIL 3A-DII, delivered a commanding statement with a 12-0 victory in Game 1 and followed with an even more emphatic 17-0 win in Game 2, completing the sweep in dominant fashion.

Undeterred, the Lady Lions responded with authority, outscoring their opponents 29-0 across two games. The offense was powered by seven home runs from five different players, showcasing depth and consistency at the plate.

In the circle, the pitching staff delivered a dominant showing, combining for 23 strikeouts over eight innings while holding the opposing lineup scoreless throughout the series.

With the sweep, the Lady Lions advance to the next round of the playoffs, carrying strong momentum on both offense and defense.
