Santa Gertrudis Academy Dominates 2026 UIL 3A-Division II Softball State All-Tournament Team Selections

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - State champion Santa Gertrudis Academy earned top honors and dominated the 2026 UIL Class 3A Division II Softball State All-Tournament Team, with six Lady Lions selected, including the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
The Texas Girls Coaches Association named senior standout K'Lee Bazan as the State Tournament MVP following her leadership and performance during Santa Gertrudis Academy's championship run.
The Lady Lions also placed five additional players on the prestigious all-tournament squad, highlighting the team's depth and talent throughout the state tournament.
Senior Alexia Ruiz was selected as the team's representative at pitcher, while junior Adelyn Lopez earned honors at third base. Freshman Cami Recio was named the all-tournament shortstop, and juniors Hailey Ortega and Arabella DeLeon were selected to the outfield.
Santa Gertrudis Academy led all schools in Class 3A Division II with six all-tournament selections, highlighting the program's dominance on the state's biggest stage.
