Driver Arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance

NUECES COUNTY - According to a Facebook post from Constable Jimmy Rivera, Precinct 3, on January 16, 2021, Nueces County deputies assigned to the Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 77 for a traffic violation. The driver consented to a search where a large amount of illegal narcotics was found.

Additional assistances came from Nueces County Constable's office Precinct 5 and K-9 Arco, Robstown Police Department and the Nueces County District Attorney's Criminal Interdiction Unit.

The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked in to the Nueces County jail.
