Overnight Stabbing

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 1:49am, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Port Avenue in reference to a large fight. While officers were enroute, the call upgraded to a stabbing with injuries. 

37-year-old Juan Ayala.

Officers quickly arrived and located a 21-year-old male victim suffering from a laceration wound to his stomach and provided medical attention until medics arrived. Medics transported the male to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Other arriving officers were able to locate the offender as he was leaving the establishment and conducted a traffic stop. 37-year-old Juan Ayala was ultimately arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was additionally charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana after illegal narcotics and marijuana was located inside of the vehicle he was driving.
