City Ordinance Affecting Bishop City Park Hours of Operation

BISHOP - (News Release) Bishop City Council has adopted a city ordinance regarding the city park hours of operation.

Effective Immediately Bishop City Park will be open to the public from the hours of 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily (Sunday through Saturday). There are exceptions provided within the city ordinance for scheduled little league and high school baseball games and other activities approved by the City of Bishop.

Bishop Police Department will strictly enforce this city ordinance after updated signs are posted within the park. However, in order to allow for a period of proper public notice before enforcement begins, written or verbal warnings will be issued until April 23, 2022.

A violation of this city ordinance is a class C misdemeanor offense and violators shall be subject to fine up to $200.00 per offense.
