City of Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – The City of Corpus Christi’s Arts & Cultural Commission is delighted to announce an Open Call for 2022 Arts Grant applications. The Arts Grant program was reinstated this year to support organizations whose programs or services demonstrate cultural significance for the community and will stimulate the local business economy by attracting visitors to Corpus Christi. The program will continue to offer matching grants of up to $15,000.

Art Grants are available to 501c3 non-profit corporations and tax-exempt community-oriented organizations within Corpus Christi. Funding for the Arts Grant Program is provided by the City of Corpus Christi utilizing the Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) fund. Per state law, revenue from the municipal Hotel Occupancy Tax may be used only to promote tourism and the convention and hotel industry. Organizations applying for and receiving Hotel Occupancy Tax funds are required to adhere to the state laws governing the use of such funds.

On Friday, October 8, an Arts Grant Application Instruction Guide will be available in PDF format for viewing or download at www.ccparkandrec.com (click “ARTS & CULTURE”). This document will help applicants through the process and answer some frequently asked questions.
