Officer Involved Shooting Update

CORPUS CHRISTI - (News Release) As a follow-up to the officer involved shooting that occurred on July 30, 2023, the following information has been made available for release.
One of the offenders has been processed by our City Detention Center; thus, CCPD are able to release the identity and charges of the offender involved.
27-year-old Michael Joseph Deleon was medically cleared and was transported to the City Detention Center on August 3, 2023. Deleon has been charged with one count of Attempted Capital Murder and one count of Murder.
Th second suspect involved in the incident has not been released as of this time.
This is still an active investigation and updates will follow as they are made available for release.
