CCPD Announced the Passing of Officer Hicks Who was Shot in the Line of Duty

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - Corpus Christi Police Department has announced the passing of Kyle Hicks after he sustained injuries in the line of duty on April 20, 2024. As his last act of service, Officer Hicks will be giving the gift of organ donation to save a many lives possible.

Officer Hicks was shot in the line of duty while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Hicks, who had been with the department for two years, was shot while responding to a domestic disturbance at the Summer House Apartments.

26-year-old Colton Foster has been identified as the shooter. He was shot and killed at the scene by officers responding with Hicks.

Hicks leaves behind a wife and four children.
