CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - The Corpus Christi Police Department would like to remind residents about the rules regarding the operation of off-highway vehicles and golf carts within master planned communities.

• All off-highway vehicles, to include golf carts, must be registered with Nueces County.

• A license plate must be affixed to the rear of the vehicle.

• Operators must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Vehicles are not permitted on roads posted over 35 miles per hour, and must obey all traffic laws.

In addition, in reference to electric scooters: 

• Ensure children are wearing helmets.

• Riders must obey the rules of the roadway and all traffic laws.

• Ride as far the right as possible or on the sidewalk.
