Local Nonprofits Prepared to Serve Homeless

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) – Unhoused residents in need of services and shelter during this week’s inclement weather will receive help from local nonprofit organizations. These organizations provide essential services such as shelter, meals, showers, and laundry.

The following overnight shelter and day centers will be providing respite:

  • Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, located at 902 Nueces Bay Boulevard, will be open 24 hours a day and will be utilizing overflow space as accommodation when it is raining.

  • Mother Teresa Shelter, located at 513 Sam Rankin Street, is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Dismas Resource Center, located at 1201 Agnes Street, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 7:30 a.m. to midnight on Thursday and Friday.

  • Loaves & Fishes at Corpus Christi Metro Ministries, located at 1919 Leopard Street, will serve lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday.
