GEORGE WEST, TEXAS (News Release)

The Santa Gertrudis Lady Lions continued their impressive postseason run with a decisive two-game sweep over George West Lady Longhorns.

Santa Gertrudis Academy, ranked No. 2 in UIL 3A-DII, delivered a commanding statement in the opening round of the playoffs with a two-game sweep, 12-0 victory in Game 1 and 17-0 win in Game 2.

The offense was powered by seven home runs from five different players, showcasing depth and consistency at the plate.

In the circle, the pitching staff delivered a dominant showing, combining 23 strikeouts over eight innings while holding the opposing lineup scoreless throughout the series.

With the sweep, the Lady Lions advance to the next round of the playoffs, carrying strong momentum on both offense and defense.
